Ladies' News

Hello Everyone

Wimbledon night

We had nearly 60 guests and players for Wimbledon night on Saturday and The rain held off thankfully!
Congratulations to the Wimbledon champions Freda and Joe! We had 3 pairings tied for 2nd place and they all got a
Wimbledon branded prize.
We had some celebs in for the evening AKA Rory Mcilroy and his girlfriend Caroline, we also had some visitors from the South of France AKA Maire and Chris and finally last years Champions Maureen and Ronan
Debbie Duncan provided us with a Chicken and Bacon Terrine and the hard working Ladies Captains Committee prepared a lovely selection of Salads and we had a typical Wimbledon dessert of Strawberries and Cream. Special thanks to Rita and Rachel for all their hard work. Thanks also to David, Gary Dowling, Kirsten and Gavin for helping hands! There is a lot of invisible work in the Planning, Preparation, Set up and tidying up of these events. With this in mind we would be delighted if you would like to volunteer to help for an event! We could do with some volunteers for Captains day so let me know in the next 2 weeks if you can help in anyway! We got lots of compliments about the night so thanks for the positive feedback!

Ladies Lunch Wed 18th of June

We had 31 ladies for tennis and a few extra for lunch on Wednesday - there was sunshine, laughter, delicious salads and gorgeous deserts!
Thanks to everyone for attending and making it a great day - Special thanks to my committee!  Mary O' Grady, Rachel Donovan and Rita Leonard for all their help with planning and on the day itself!
